Tonight, NASA’s International Space Station will be visible to UAE residents for less than a minute at 9:21pm, as reported by The National.

In case this is too small of a window for viewers, there will also be a sighting tomorrow, Monday, at 8:31 pm for 3 minutes, and on Tuesday at 7:42 pm for four minutes.

As stated on the dedicated ‘Spot the Station’ website that covers more than 6700 locations, this week the sightings will be visible to those residing in the UAE.

The space station which circles the Earth every 90 minutes, has a travelling speed of 28,000 kilometres swiftly speeding by in the sky.

The next few weeks are panning out to be extremely exciting for those interested in space and astronomy. Following up with these sightings this week, in a little over 100 days, Hazza Al Mansouri will begin his mission on the station on September 25. Selected by the The Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre, Al Mansouri is UAE’s first Emirati astronaut.
