Rihanna blew the world away this weekend with one of the most iconic moments in fashion to date. The Savage X Fenty show, which showcased the starlet’s latest lingerie line, has taken the world by storm with it’s inclusive show, featuring models who come in all different shapes and sizes.
Honestly, it is an unbelievable watch.
As well as being a fashion show, Rihanna and her team aimed to make the show a work of art, which included some amazing sets and dancers performing killer choreography. The choreography of which was constructed by New Zealand’s Parris Goebel. The mastermind behind the show as well as Justin Bieber’s ‘Sorry’ music video (which became iconic purely for the dancing, sorry JB!) will be giving the UAE a taste of her talents for Expo 2020 Dubai.
And, who can argue with RiRi?
y’all are literally bout to witness why this woman right here is my spirit animal! God gifted genius!! ??? love you @parrisgoebel #SAVAGEXFENTYSHOW @savagexfenty @PrimeVideo pic.twitter.com/lUykiOeGrV

New Zealand Prime Minister and Minister for Arts, Culture and Heritage Jacinda Ardern met with Parris to present her ideas. “I’ve had a sneak preview of Parris’ plans and it is going to be spectacular and something New Zealanders will be very proud to have representing them,” Jacinda Ardern said.
“Importantly it will also show the special role arts and culture play not only in our national identity but in boosting our economy and helping strengthen international relationships.” Parris said “I am so excited to be curating the entertainment for Expo 2020 Dubai. This is something I am extremely passionate about and this is a huge honour for me. We will showcase New Zealand’s finest talent from music, dance, drama, street art and show the world what makes us special. Culture and heart will be at the forefront of our programme and all the other things us kiwis take pride in.”
Parris Goebel’s programme for Expo 2020 will focus mainly on the youth and reflect New Zealand’s theme Care for People and Place, which centres around the importance of caring for the future generations. “Our participation at Expo 2020 will be awesome – from the experience in the pavilion to the manaakitanga (hospitality) in our restaurant to the entertainment and cultural presentations across the whole of the Expo 2020 park. Parris will play a key role in this and we are thrilled to have her on the team,” New Zealand’s Commissioner-General for Expo 2020 Clayton Kimpton said.
SO. EXCITED.
