Wild conspiracy has the internet believing Steve Jobs is alive and in Egypt

Here’s a bit of a weird one for you this morning.

People think Steve Jobs is still alive and hiding out in Egypt. Obviously we know that the tech titan sadly passed in 2011 after a battle with cancer.

But that’s not stopping Reddit‘s conspiracy theorists. An image of a man who bears a striking resemblance to the late Jobs, having a coffee in Cairo has triggered rumours that he is actually still alive.

The man looks to be in a contemplative state and is also not wearing shoes – something that Jobs was famous for – being barefoot while brainstorming, added fuel to the fire online.

Users of the online forum have been commenting on the post, a total of 1,700 times, with many eluding to Jobs’ true heritage.

However, there may actually be some legs behind this rumour, as it was revealed that Jobs’ biological father, Abdulfattah Jandali, was a Syrian Muslim immigrant. Jandali and his American girlfriend did not want to put their baby up for adoption, but her parents would not initially allow her to marry an Arab.
