Love Island star Theo Campbell left blind after a bottle cork "split [his eye] in half"

Love Island 2017 star Theo Campbell has tragically lost all sight in one eye. Whilst holidaying in Ibiza, Campbell endured an injury from a bottle cork which reportedly split his eye in half. In attempt to save the eye and restore his sight, he has since undergone two surgeries, however he took to Instagram to confirm that his sight would sadly not be coming back.

“Thanks for all the messages and support I’ve got over the last couple days they’re all very much appreciated ♥️! So yeah basically 2 eye surgeries later after a really unfortunate accident, I’ve lost all vision in my right eye as it got split in half, who would have thought a champagne cork would be the end of me.. ?. “

He continues to be in high spirits, joking about the matter and remaining positive, saying: “But I still have 1 eye left, looking at the bright side of things. Thanks for flying out to look after me as well babe ♥️♥️♥️ if anyone knows where sells cool eye patches let me know :)”

Campbell’s girlfriend, Kaz Crossley, who appeared in Love Island 2018 flew to be by his side during the difficult time. The couple announced that they were dating three months ago.
