Jude Law to play ‘Captain Hook’ in Disney’s ‘Peter Pan’

One of Hollywood’s most talented actors seems to be making his way to Neverland. Jude Law is in talks to play the iconic character of ‘Captain Hook’ for Disney’s live-action Peter Pan film.

The project which is titled, Peter Pan & Wendy, is being directed by David Lowery. J. M. Barrie’s novel, Peter Pan, was previously adapted by Disney back in 1953, and was the most successful version of this beautiful story. Others such as Steven Spielberg and Joe Wright had attempted to recreate the magic with their own takes on the book, but failed to do so at the box-office.

Creating this live-action movie comes straight after Disney has had an immensely successful 2019 with movies such as Aladdin and The Lion King hitting the big screens. These movies were single-handedly responsible for earning over $1 billion worldwide.

Other sources have revealed that Peter Pan & Wendy is also scheduled to have a big theatrical release. If Jude Law does in fact get signed on play ‘Captain Hook,’ he will be following the footsteps of Dustin Hoffman, Jason Isaacs and Garrett Hedlund.
