Sorry folks, you will have to wait a little while longer to see Tom Hanks on the big screen again.
His next big project titled, Bios, which was slated for a 2 October 2020 release, has now been moved to April 16, 2021. The shit was announced by Universal Pictures, following the news that Warner Bros. has also moved the release date of Wonder Woman 1984 from August 14 to October 2, which was Bios’ original date.
Hanks reprises the role of a man named ‘Finch’, a robotics engineer, who wants to ensure that his dog is looked after once he is gone since he suffers from an illness. Finch is one of the handful survivors of a solar event gone wrong, that has resulted in the world becoming a waste land.
The film is directed by Miguel Sapochnik of Game of Thrones and True Detective. Bios will now share its release date with another sci-fi movie, Reminiscence, which stars Hugh Jackman and Thandie Newton. These change in dates comes as a direct result of theatres being shut all around the world due to COVID-19.
