Some more good news to smile about during the coronavirus pandemic: for those of you who do not know Jane Fonda, most recently known for her hit TV show, Grace and Frankie, spends her time fighting for climate change. So much so that Fonda has already been arrested five times in her efforts to spread awareness while protesting alongside other activists.

Fonda has penned down her journey as a climate activist in a new book titled, What Can I Do? My Path From Climate Despair to Action. This book will highlight how Fonda has inspired thousands of people to conduct nonviolent civil disobedience, It will include personal anecdotes and interviews with others leading the climate change movement such as scientists, and cover issues such as immigration rights, water, and much more.

“I love this book so much! It recounts how last fall I had an epiphany about the state of our planet that sent me to Washington, D.C., and changed my life. I didn’t think that could happen — at my age — but it did and I’m not looking back,” Fonda wrote about the book. “Everything I learned and what you need to know about the climate crisis is here from the mouths of experts and the too often unheard voices at the frontlines of the crisis, with stories and ideas that will change the way you think. It changed me. And what’s more, it gives clear ideas to answer your question: What Can I Do?

The book is set for a September 8 release.
