Jay-Z sent $40,000 Rolex watches as VIP invites for his foundation’s gala

No, you don’t have look again to confirm what you’ve just read in the headline; it’s Jay Z’s world and we’re just living in it.

The King to our Queen-B aka Beyoncé echoes her sentiment of living life large (well, in this case, ginormous), and has done the unthinkable to further up the idea of a ‘VIP’. While sending out invites to his first Shawn Carter foundation Gala, Jay Z sent over Rolex watches and expensive bottles of bubble to all his guests.

And naturally, thanks to Instagram, we were blessed with proof of this from rapper Swizz Beatz and Meek Mill. Both these artists shared an image of the watch they received along with their appreciation for the gifts.

Beatz posted, saying “Hov is on another level with the invite game. It came with a Daytona Rolex and a bottle of Ace.”

The Daytona Rolex costs anywhere between $12,400 to $43,000, if not over, depending on the version. The Gala, which is all set to take place this Friday will feature performances by both Swizz Beatz and his wife, Alicia Keys.

“Equipping our youth with the tools to succeed will always be a priority for me and my family,” Carter said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to continuing that mission at this year’s Shawn Carter Foundation Gala Weekend, where we’ll celebrate our scholars and continue to support young people in a meaningful way.”
