The ‘Tom and Jerry’ movie will now release in 2020

If your childhood did not consist of watching reruns of ‘Tom and Jerry’ then was it even a happy childhood?

The cat and mouse story that enriched us with countless giggles, which recently added a movie to its franchise, was initially slated to release on April 16, 2021. Now, the movie will hit the big screen on Dec 23, 2020.

The live-action comedy, which is directed by Tim Story, will star Chloe Grace Moretz, Michael Pena, Ken Jeong, Jordan Bolger and Pallavi Sharda.

The story’s plot line will revolve around both Tom the cat and Jerry the mouse getting kicked out of their home and relocating to a hotel in New York. Here, Moretz’s character, who is an employee at the hotel, will face the ultimate predicament of either losing her job or evicting Jerry.

In addition, Warner Bros.’ fantasy adventure, ‘The Witches’ has also been moved up and will now release of October 9, 2020. The movie will star Anne Hathaway, Stanley Tucci, Octavia Spencer, and Chris Rock.
