Kelly Preston passes away at 57

The actress was married to John Travolta for 29 years, and appeared in several popular films such as Jerry Maguire, Twins and Mischief.

Travolta shared the tragic news on his Instagram account, letting the world know that Preston had been battling breast cancer for the past two years. “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer,” Travolta wrote. “She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. …I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. All my love, JT.”

Preston’s daughter, Ella, also shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, sharing the pain of her mother’s loss. Preston first met her husband Travolta in 1987 and got married in Paris in 1991. The couple had previously lost their son, Jett, who passed away in 2009.

Rising to fame in the early nineties, Preston appeared alongside some very successful stars that included Arnold Schwarzenegger, Tom Cruise and Eddie Murphy to name a few. She was last seen in role of ‘Victoria Gotti’ with her Travolta in the movie, Gotti.
