In fact, when it comes to the latter, research suggests that ‘dogs experience painful shocks from static build-up before the storm.’ The pain then builds as the storm progresses.

A video is now going viral that shows that just a little bit of love from the littlest of places can make a difference to a terrified pup. The video shows a toddler comforting the family dog, a golden retriever, during a thunderstorm. The toddler strokes, cuddles and kisses the dog which makes for an adorably uplifting watch.
