It’s never too late to rekindle a relationship.

After the loss of her father, Mariam Abdul Rahman Al Shehi decided to go to India to find the mother she’d never met. Before Mariam was born, her parents suddenly divorced, leading to her mother’s departure from the UAE to India.

According to 3ameed News, Mariam was raised by her father for 36-years, but, after his death, decided it was time to find her mother. To help Mariam her search, she contacted local newspapers in India who posted notices looking for her.

Mariam shared images, a name and description to the newspapers which helped a group of women identify her and come forward. After “relentless determination” Mariam finally found her mother, as well as a sister whom she had also never met.
