Marvel fans, rejoice.
Marvel has teamed up with SiriusXM and Pandora to create the Marvel’s 80th: The Road to Marvel Comics #1000, a series of podcasts that will feature Wolverine and Black Widow amongst others.
SiriusXM is a broadcasting company based in the States that provides satellite and online radio, while Pandora is a music streaming app.
These podcasts, which will feature both scripted and unscripted content will release in 2020. Each of the comic book characters selected will have a 10 episode stand-alone series to their name. Other programs include a deeper look into the history of Marvel with a modern perspective.
“Powerful stories are read, seen, and heard — and we believe audio is the next natural step to bring the Marvel Universe to fans around the world,” said Dan Buckley, president of Marvel Entertainment, in a statement. “SiriusXM and Pandora have the right platform and expertise to bring Marvel’s rich tapestry of stories to listeners in a whole new way.”
This move comes as a way to reel in all the success that the Marvel franchise entails, which is exactly what the president of SiriusXM hopes to capitalize on.
While more information about these podcasts might be scarce, we are hoping that Marvel can fill us in further in the upcoming months.
