It’s very, very difficult to find any faults with Ellen Degeneres. I, for one, am a huge fan and consider Ellen a lifestyle. But, even the Queen of Kindness can Ruffalo a few feathers from time to time.
Degeneres has stirred up major controversy after she and wife Portia de Rossi were photographed at Dallas Cowboys game, sitting next to U.S. President George W. Bush. Which, considering the former president’s history as well as his controversial beliefs, was a little off.
Ellen was quick to realise that her photos and social media posts were not being well received and spoke during her talkshow, saying, “People were upset. They thought, why is a gay Hollywood liberal sitting next to a conservative Republican president?”
Things got worse when Ellen called Bush her “friend.”
Ordinarily, we are all about friendship, but this one has major tongues wagging, and we’re in two minds. For those of us who don’t know, under George W. Bush’s presidency, the war in Afghanistan started as well as the Iraq war which killed 200,000 innocent civilians, as well as thousands who fought. Bush also called for a constitutional amendment, banning same-sex marriage in 2004. Ellen has been happily married to wife Portia for 11 years.
Although she received a lot of love from her friends and fellow celebrities for embracing differences in people, Mark Ruffalo wasn’t having any of it. And, to be honest, we do kind of like him when he’s angry.

Let’s be real here though, both Mark and Ellen have done A LOT for humanity, raising awareness, funding and actively supporting causes. We hope they’ll make amends… somehow!
