Following the recent fatal attacks in Sri Lanka which left over 350 people dead, countries are now advising their citizens to flee the country. The UK issued a statement last week, telling UK nationals not to visit the country and advised “against all but essential travel to Sri Lanka, due to the current evolving security situation following attacks on 21 April 2019.”
Now, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Sri Lanka has also advised Saudi citizens to return to the kingdom.
“This is a warning from the Saudi embassy advising Saudi citizens to leave SriLanka due to the current situation.”
The U.S. ambassador to Sri Lanka also stated on Tuesday that some of the militants behind the bombings were likely still at large and could be planning more attacks.
