Here’s a little news to Spice Up Your Life, we’re finally getting another Spice Girls movie. According to Hollywood Reporter, all five of the original band members are currently working on a film project, which will feature their hit songs. Although we don’t have much information about what the film is about, the fact that it is actually happening is enough.

It will be the second time since the ultimate split that Melanie Brown (Scary), Emma Bunton (Baby), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty), Geri Halliwell (Ginger) and Victoria Beckham (Posh) are working together.

Behind the screen play is Simon Fuller, Karen McCullah and Kiwi Smith. Karen McCullah and Kiwi Smith have worked together before on some mega-hits such as Legally Blonde, 10 Things I Hate About You and She’s The Man, so with all that on-screen gold, we’re expecting some massive things from this film. Fuller is equally well-known as a producer of some of the biggest music and dance-based TV shows such as American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance.

Naturally, this film will be all about Girl Power but it’s not just the stars that are representing female energy. Behind-the-scenes, Paramount Animation’s mostly female senior staff will be WO-manning the project.

The film will be released in 2020 and we definitely don’t need to say we’ll be there.
