Spider-Man: Far From Home doesn’t hit theaters for another two weeks, but early reactions from critics promise we’re in for a web-slingin’ good time.
Marvel’s second standalone Spidey film and the final chapter in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Three, Far From Home chronicles Peter Parker’s first heroic venture following the death of his beloved mentor Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame.
Tom Holland and Zendaya return as Peter and MJ, alongside MCU newcomer Jake Gyllenhaal as comic book character Mysterio.
Of course, no Marvel movie is complete without the appearance of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Nick Fury and Maria Hill, played by Samuel L. Jackson and Cobie Smulders. As an added bonus, Jon Favreau will reprise his role as Happy Hogan.
Whether or not this next Spidey chapter can top the fantastic Spider-Man: Homecoming remains to be seen. But, it must be said, few films ever could.
Here’s what critics are saying (so far) about Spider-Man: Far From Home, in theaters July 2.
It’s a fitting epilogue for Avengers: Endgame
