This could possibly be the best news to kick start the new week with. Mindy Kaling and Dan Goor have both confirmed to write the third chapter of ‘Elle Woods’ and we could not be happier.

Reese Witherspoon, who was signed on in 2018, will return to reprise her role, while also producing this latest chapter with her company, ‘Hello Sunshine’ with the franchise’s original producer Marc Platt. Mindy Kaling’s latest writing credit includes Netflix’s Never Have I Ever while Dan Goor is the co-creator of the hit comedy, Brooklyn Nine Nine.

Legally Blonde, which is the story of a sorority-turned-genius lawyer ‘Elle Woods’ first released back in 2001, with its sequel arriving in 2003. Both these movies fared extremely well on the box office, earning fans all around the world. These movies also became inspiration to a 2007 Broadway musical which received several prestigious award nominations.

We cannot possibly wait to see what these extremely talent team of creatives come up with!
