Several film festivals have been called off due to the coronavirus pandemic, but that doesn’t mean that cinema lovers will have to starve for entertainment.

YouTube has decided to launch a 10-day digital film festival with the help of 20 partners, for free for viewers all across the world. The first of its kind online event titled, We Are One: A Global Festival, will feature programming from an exhaustive list of film festivals that include Cannes, Toronto Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Sundance and the Venice Film Festival.

In addition to streaming without ads, We Are One from May 29-June 7 on YouTube will feature panel discussions, shorts, documentaries, comedy and music alongside films. The full schedule has not been released yet, but will be available for viewers in the next few weeks.

Apart from spoiling us with choice of content, the event will encourage all those tuning in to make donations that will go towards COVID-19 relief funds, benefiting the World Health Organization.
