Tom Hanks has given us a deeper insight into his coronavirus diagnosis, having been tested positive last month.

Both him and his wife, Rita Wilson, were quarantined in Australia before returning home a few weeks ago. Speaking on “The National Defense Radio Show”, the actor shared that both him and his wife has different symptoms. “Rita went through a tougher time than I did,” Hanks told the radio host. “She had a much higher fever. She had lost her sense of taste and sense of smell.” He added, “I had some bad body aches and was very fatigued, and that’s how the COVID-19 went through us.”

Wilson, who was given anti-malaria drugs due to her high fever, also suffered from extreme nausea, which made her so weak that “she had to crawl on the floor from the bed to the facilities.”

The couple, who spent the first three days in an Australian hospital after being tested positive, said that each day involved a 30-minute workout with light exercises. Hanks however, would give up in 12 minutes, “I was wiped after 12 minutes. I laid down in my hospital bed and just slept,” he said.

Both Hanks and his wife remain unsure of how they contracted the virus, but were able to overcome it and fly back to L.A, where they continue to self-isolate themselves.
