One of Hollywood’s most handsome men is using his hiatus from the big screen to spread smiles during the coronavirus pandemic. Matthew McConaughey became a bingo caller for the night via Zoom for isolating residents at ‘The Enclave,’ an assisted living community in Texas.

“This was a wish come true,” said a member of staff at the facility. “The residents absolutely loved seeing Matthew and his family and enjoyed hearing him talk about what he’s doing to get through this crisis. It gave them hope and was the boost that they needed to get through this lonely, challenging time.”

After playing bingo with the senior citizens, the actor stuck around to answer questions from the elderly, along with his wife, mother and children. To his delight, the residents had written down McConaughey’s most famous quotes on green pieces of paper. This was in reference to a video the actor had shot last month to spread some hope, sharing that red lights will eventually turn green.

Matthew McConaughey current projects include lending his voice to Sing, a musical animation where he plays the character of a koala named Buster Moon. He is also a professor in the media department at The University of Texas in Austin.
