Long before ‘PS: I Still Love You’ existed on Netflix, Hilary Swank’s movie with a similar title, tugged hard on our heart strings and made us all reach for the tissues with it’s emotional story.

13 years later, this love story is getting a sequel titled, Postscript. As reported by Variety, Alcon Entertainment has acquired the movie rights from author Cecelia Ahern, who is responsible for writing both the novels with the same titles, off which the movies are inspired from.

The 2007 movie saw Hilary Swank star as a young widow, ‘Holly Kennedy’, who receives letters from her late husband, ‘Garry’, to guide her in recovering from the tragedy of losing the love of her life. The movie fared extremely well on the box office, earning $156 million worldwide.

The new movie, Postscript, will pick up seven years later after Garry’s (Gerard Butler) death. The storyline will feature Holly’s sister asking her to her the story of her letters on her podcast.
