Following the success of his previous film, A Tale of Shadows, Tariq Alkazim has announced a sequel is in the works.

The film, Illusions follows an investigation led by detective Hamdan and reporter Sophia where they begin to determine the horrific and mysterious happenings at a farm triggered by the appearance of a girl soaked in blood at a hospital.

The independent film, A Tale of Shadows received a glowing reception from UAE residents in which one person called it “a very beautiful concept.”

Illusions stars three leading cast members from the previous film A Tale of Shadows which
include Nigerian actor Chuka Ekweogwu. New to the franchise are Romanian actor Robert Cristian Trif, Dr. Samar Al Shamsi.

The creatives are back and bigger than ever with a whopping Dhs 7.3m budget and are determined to shine a light on Emirati filmmaking talent. Filming is currently underway in Dubai and Al Ain with the film set to be released in 2020.
