Padma Lakshmi, US cooking competition program Top Chef and most importantly NOT Priyanka Chopra, had the best response when a magazine confused the two. After being featured in The New Yorker, as part of their “celebrity cartoon takeover,” the magazine posted a picture of Padma, however failed to do their research as they had tagged her as Priyanka Chopra.
Naturally, Padma was not best pleased with the mix-up and screenshotted the (now deleted) post. Alongside the post she captioned: “Thank you to the illustrious ‘@nydailynews’ for the shoutout😉.” As well as purposely getting The New Yorker’s name mixed up, she took another jab at the magazine, saying: “I know to some we all look alike, but 🤷🏾♀️… #desilife #justindianthings.”
